Do you know a good dog-friendly place to rent for a month in Bangkok?

I was hoping for some kind of dog park area? I'm a 30 year old guy and my dog is a small Terrier mix. Coming in June.

My budget is 35k Baht, but I have some wiggle room for a great place.

I appreciate all recommendations.

For 35k in June I'd actually look at Ari or Saphan Khwai instead of the usual Ekkamai spots. You get more square footage for your money and there's a surprising number of older low-rise buildings that are fine with small dogs without the strict pet policies of the big condo towers. The streets around Ari Soi 4 and Soi 5 have wide sidewalks with tree cover, which matters when it's pouring at 4pm and you still need to walk the terrier.

There's a small unofficial dog meetup that happens weekday mornings around 7am at the little park next to Wat Phai Tan in Saphan Khwai. It's not advertised anywhere, just locals who show up, but they're friendly and your dog can run loose in the grassy area before the monks start their morning rounds. For a paid option, Dog Park 49 is solid but if you're in Ari, Paws and Claws on Phahonyothin Soi 10 has a small indoor play area that costs 150 baht for an hour and they keep the AC cranked.

tbh if you're only here for a month before heading south, I'd think about renting a shophouse-style place in Charoen Krung or Talad Noi instead of a condo. a lot of those old buildings have ground floor units with a small courtyard out back, perfect for a terrier to sniff around without dealing with elevator rules or lobby security giving you side eye. you can find them on fb marketplace or the bangkok expat groups for around 28-32k, and the neighborhood has way more character than another glass tower in sukhumvit

for dog parks, the one at Santiphap Park near Victory Monument is underrated. it's small but has real grass and big trees for shade, and the morning crowd around 7am is mostly older Thai guys with small dogs who won't care if yours sniffs around off-leash. just be aware the park technically closes at 9pm and the dog area is first come first serve, but in june it's never crowded cause everyone's hiding from the rain

35k will get you a solid studio or one-bedroom in a pet-friendly building around On Nut or Bang Chak, those areas are a bit quieter than Ekkamai but still have the BTS and way more green space for walking a small dog. I'd check out the condo complexes near W District, they've got a decent community vibe and a few residents with dogs so management is used to it.

for a terrier that needs to run, the dog run at Suan Luang Rama IX is huge and worth the taxi ride, it's like 5 rai of fenced grass and open from 6-9am and 4-7pm. just be ready for the humidity in June, your dog will prob want to cut the session short. also there's a small off-leash patch tucked behind the playground in Benjakitti Park near Asok, less crowded than Benjasiri and more shaded.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
