so the wires thing is a bit of a red herring tbh. i live in the condo right across from that soi and my building's security told me the guy had a seizure from heat exhaustion, not electric shock. the wires were just from a nearby construction site that got knocked down when he fell. the crowd standing around is just how it goes in phra khanong, everyone waits for someone else to step up. if you ever see something similar, the real move is to call the ruamkatanyu foundation directly, they're way faster than the regular ambulance service

I was walking by around 7pm and saw the same thing. Turns out it was a street vendor who accidentally touched a dangling wire near the 7-Eleven on Sukhumvit 71. The ambulance took about 20 minutes to show up, which is typical for that stretch because traffic backs up from the On Nut intersection. Nobody helped because most people assume it's an electric shock and dont want to get zapped themselves, which is fair.

Yeah I heard about that from a neighbor this morning. Apparently the guy was fine, just knocked out by a low voltage line near the On Nut BTS exit. The crowd thing is pretty normal for Phra Khanong, people stare first and call for help later.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
