If you want something a bit different from the usual leather-and-tees look, try the vintage shops in Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin on a Thursday to Sunday evening. There's a whole row near the back that specializes in 1950s-60s rockabilly gear, which fits the rock theme without being a costume. Prices are negotiable if you're buying a few pieces, and you can grab a classic pomade or a pair of creepers from the same vendors. Just get there before 7pm to beat the worst of the crowd.

honestly for rock'n'roll at 50 i'd skip the costume shops entirely and head to saphan lek (the old siam plaza area) near mahboonkrong. there's a few vintage stalls tucked in the soi behind the main mall that sell legit 70s-80s rock tees and leather stuff, cheaper than chatuchak and less crowded. my buddy found a proper motorhead jacket there for like 800 baht, not a costume piece but real worn-in leather. also the night market at ratchada soi 8 has a stall near the food section that does custom patches, could grab a denim vest and throw some bands on it

watergate pavilion is fine but honestly most of those shops are for kids or generic halloween stuff. for a 50th rock'n'roll party i'd hit chatuchak market on a weekend, specifically the vintage clothing section in sois 2-4. there's a few stalls that sell legit leather jackets, band tees, and accessories, way better quality than the costume shops. also check out platinum fashion mall, not for costumes but for cheap rock-style shirts and you can diy it with some rips and a belt from the same mall

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
