I have had an interview with the secondary school principal and have done a lot of research on the school eg: checking the secondary school teacher's linkeden, checking the school's ratings online. But i do not live in bbk nor have any friends there so i dont have inside knowledge of the school. Please help

sbs is decent but it's not really an international school tbh, it's more of a bilingual program that follows the thai curriculum with english immersion. if you want a proper international curriculum like ib or cambridge you might find it lacking. the campus is out near rangsit which is way north of bangkok, like 30-40 mins from central if traffic is kind which it never is. i'd look at something like nist or shrewsbury if you want the real deal, but those are pricier and have waitlists. sbs is fine for a bilingual option but manage your expectations on what "international" means here

i know a few families that moved their kids from SBS to other schools like shrewsbury or kisc because of curriculum concerns. the thing with SBS is it follows the thai national curriculum with an english program, not a pure international one, so if you're planning for uni abroad some subjects might not line up as well. worth checking if they offer igcse or a-levels specifically instead of just assuming the english program covers it

sbs is in the middle of nowhere tbh. even if you live in rangsit proper its still a trek. the area around it is mostly housing estates and big box stores, not much for kids to do after school. if you're not living in that specific zone, you'll spend 3+ hours a day in a car just getting there and back

the campus itself is decent sized but the facilities are showing their age. they've got a pool and some sports fields but nothing special for a school charging those fees. the secondary building felt a bit cramped when i visited

for the same money you could look at k.h.e. on sukhumvit or even berkley in samut prakan if you want something closer to the city. both have more established track records and better locations for getting around bangkok

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
