Jiuwushan Hike Advice?

Question

So I'm planning a solo trek up Jiuwushan next month. I've heard the trails can be pretty treacherous, especially after a rain shower. Any tips from seasoned hikers on navigating the slippery sections? What gear should I prioritize to stay safe and sound? I'm aiming for a sunrise summit, so any advice on timing would also be much appreciated. I don't want to end up like that one meme of the guy clinging to a tree halfway up a mountain...

Sunrise summit, huh? Ambitious! Jiuwushan's a beast after rain, seriously. Good trekking poles are your best friend, not the flimsy ones, get something sturdy. And waterproof hiking boots are a non-negotiable. Seriously, don't skimp on those. I'd also pack extra layers; it gets chilly at the top, even in the summer. Check the forecast religiously before you go, and if it's looking dicey, postpone. Better to be safe than sorry. Aim to start *way* earlier than you think you need to for that sunrise, allow extra time for slippery sections. Headlamp's essential too, obviously. And maybe some extra high-energy snacks, you'll burn through calories fast. Oh, and tell someone your plans, just in case.
