Novo Sabor in Sao Paulo, worth a detour in 2026?

Question

Staying near Avenida Paulista for a week in March and Novo Sabor keeps coming up. Is it worth the trip across town, and do I need to book ahead for dinner?

stephanie · Answer

Novo Sabor is more of a weekend lunch spot for me. The dinner menu is fine but the real draw is the feijoada at Saturday lunch, and you can usually walk in around 12:30 before the rush hits. If you're set on dinner, call directly rather than using the apps, they hold tables back.

stefani · Answer

I've only been once and the food was solid, but crossing town from Paulista in March traffic is brutal, so book ahead and go early.
