i'm moving into an apartment mid april and i need sheets/towels/etc sent, but i can't have it arrive before i do to avoid any issues. i've read before that thai post can hold it at some locations but i have a hard time getting ahold of them and there's no info (that i can find at least) on their website. thank you greatly in advance for any help !!

fwiw the poste restante service works fine but you can also try using a friend's address or a coworking space if you're here already. the bangkok post office on charoen krung is a bit of a hassle to get to if you're not near saphan taksin. some of the smaller post offices also do it but they might look at you weird if you ask in english. just write "poste restante" clearly on the package and your phone number too, they'll call you when it arrives

yeah thai post does hold packages at their main sorting office on charoen krung road, near saphan taksin bts. you can have it addressed to "poste restante" with your name and "bangkok post office" and they'll hold it for about 30 days. just bring your passport when you pick it up. i'd call the specific branch first to confirm they still do it, since policies vary sometimes

yeah thai post has a service called "poste restante" where they hold mail at specific post offices for pickup. just address it to yourself with "c/o poste restante" and the post office name + zip code. the main one near asok (the saen saep branch on soi 23) is pretty reliable for this, and it's only like 20 baht per package if it's small. just bring your passport when you pick it up.

if you're near a big mall, some of the kerry express or flash express outlets hold packages too and they're everywhere. just pick whichever is closest to ur new place and have it sent there with ur name and phone number. thai post is fine but sometimes the lines are brutal, kerry's app is easier to track

another option is using a private mail forwarding service, there's one near asok called "the mailbox" or something similar on sukhumvit soi 23. they hold packages for longer than thai post, like a month or more, and u can just walk in with ur id. costs around 100-200 baht per package depending on size, which is fine for towels and sheets if u want to stick with thai post, the on nut post office is less chaotic than bangrak and easier to deal with imo. just write "hold for pickup" on the box in english and thai if u can, the staff there are used to it
