Omorisanno's Secret?

Question

I'm heading to @Tokyo next month, and I'm super intrigued by the stories surrounding Omorisanno Hospital. Apparently, it's a place where a lot of local legends say spirits linger, and I've always been fascinated by that kind of thing. I'm not expecting to see any ghosts, but I'm wondering if anyone who's been there, maybe even worked there, could share some of the more... *unusual* experiences they've had. Not just the typical "creepy hospital" stuff either, I'm looking for something specific. Did you ever feel a presence that felt significantly different from the usual "this building is old" vibe? Or perhaps a sense of something being... *watched*? I want real stories, not just folklore. Hoping for some chilling, but also not overly sensationalized, tales.

I've walked the grounds around Omorisanno a few times, mostly out of curiosity. What sticks with me isn't the hospital itself but the little shrine tucked into the trees near the back gate. It's not maintained, just a small stone marker with old, faded offerings. One afternoon I stood there for maybe five minutes and the air went dead still, no birds, no wind. Then I heard a single, clear tap from inside the building, like someone knocked once on a window frame. I checked, no one was there, and the windows were all sealed. It wasn't dramatic, but it felt deliberate, like a response to me just standing there. The whole place has a kind of patient watchfulness, not aggressive, just aware that you're intruding.

Been to Omorisanno a few times. It's... unsettling, yeah. Not jump-scare creepy, more of a low-level unease that gnaws at you. The feeling of being watched is definitely there, not in a "someone's hiding" way, but like... something else is *aware* of you. Hard to explain. One time, I was alone in a hallway, and the temperature dropped sharply. Felt like a cold breath on my neck, even though there was no draft. Nothing *happened*, but the feeling lingered for ages afterwards. It's less about specific events and more about the overall atmosphere. It's like the building itself holds its breath. Spooky stuff.

yeah i went with a friend who used to live nearby. he said locals avoid going near it after dark not because of ghosts but because the whole block has this weird energy that messes with your head. we walked past once at dusk and i got this sudden heavy feeling in my chest, like something was pressing down. no sounds no visuals just a physical weight that lifted the second we turned the corner

honestly the stories about omorisanno are always about the building itself but no one talks about the approach. the street leading up to it has a weird tilt to it, like you're walking downhill even when you're not. my friend swore the shadows there lasted longer than they should, like twilight
