Best disco nights at Strobe in Tokyo 2026

I'm in Tokyo for a week in March 2026 and Strobe keeps coming up when I look for a proper disco night. What nights there are worth going to, and is it more of a late spot or does it get going earlier? saturdays are the one, but nothing happens before midnight tbh, last train crowd rolls in around 12:30 and it runs till first train from shibuya

yeah that 12:30 wave is real, the last train from shibuya dumps everyone right there. only thing id add is fridays can be decent too but its hit or miss depending on who's spinning

fridays hinge on the guest dj honestly, check the flyer first or u might walk into a wedding reception vibe

also check who's spinning, some sat lineups are weak

the 12:30 wave is real, but the first train from shibuya is around 5am so pace urself. i usually grab a cheap bite near dogenzaka around 4 before the walk to the station. coat check fills up fast after midnight

coat check queue peaks closer to 1am tbh

True, though the room actually peaks around 2 or 3.

Image elselotte local ·

thats why i roll in at 2, proper peak

weeknights are dead tho, don't bother before 1

12:30 is about right but the queue outside is worst around then, so i usually get in just before to skip it. once ur inside it's solid till sunrise

What documents do they want from the museum side and what usually goes wrong with the application? Any tips on timing before I apply from abroad?

Get the museum to start your Certificate of Eligibility by June, since Shinagawa screening plus COE mailing eats 2-3 months and April museum intakes get ugly.

arrow_drop_up 15 arrow_drop_down

yeah, and book the flight after the COE lands not before

june's optimistic honestly, the museum's tōkibo copy alone stalled mine a month, so push them to start in May.

Engineer/Specialist in Humanities is the right category for museum curatorial work, not the arts-specific one people assume. The museum needs to supply their registry extract (tōkibo), your employment contract with salary clearly stated, and a detailed job description; the usual snag is a vague description that reads like gallery attendant work.
