Dry cleaners?

Question

Hi I've got a 3-piece suit that I'd like to take to a dry cleaner. But my search thus far has been unsuccessful.

Would anyone happen to know where I might find a dry cleaner in Tokyo area? Preferably near Ikebukuro but not a dealbreaker though.

Thank you so much! 🙏

honestly you could try the coin laundry spot under the Sunshine 60 building, they have a legit dry cleaning machine that handles suits. i've dropped off a blazer there before and it came back fine, no shrinkage or weird smells. it's like 600 yen per piece so cheaper than a dedicated cleaner, just takes overnight. if u want a proper shop, the cleaners on the second floor of Tobu department store does suit packages for around 2,000 yen but they're pricier

There's a small place called Cleaners Kawashima about a 5-minute walk from the east exit of Ikebukuro. They handle suits and wool items without any fuss, and the owner speaks enough English to explain the basics. A 3-piece usually runs around 1,500 yen and takes 2-3 days. If you're not tied to Ikebukuro, I've also used the Y's Clean chain in Shinjuku and they're reliable for formal wear.

fwiw theres a place called Cleaner's Palette near Ikebukuro station's west exit, tucked behind the Lawson on Meiji-dori. they do same-day service if you drop it off before 10am, costs about 1,800 yen for a 3-piece. i've used them for years and theyve never messed up a jacket or pants, which is more than i can say for some of the bigger chains. if you're ok walking 10 mins from the station, theres also a tiny shop off the main drag near the Rikkyo University campus that specializes in suits, but theyre cash only and close by 7pm

oh hey, theres a decent place called Clean Business on the first floor of the HMV building near the east exit. they do a 3-piece for around 1,200 yen and it's ready in like 2 days. i've taken my blazers there a bunch and theyre pretty careful with the pressing, never had any issues
