Where to watch NBA games while in Tokyo?

Question

Man from Dallas hoping to watch the NBA finals in Tokyo, will be in Japan for 2 weeks and hoping to find a place that will play the game. Thanks!

Yeah the Sports Bar is the spot for sure. If you are up for something a bit more low key, try The Pink Cow in Shibuya. It's a small diner type place and the owner is American, she'll usually put games on if you ask ahead. Not as rowdy as Roppongi but the food is solid.

if you're staying longer and want a more reliable spot, check out the lineup at Hobgoblin in Shibuya. they've got multiple tvs and will put the finals on one screen if you call ahead. the crowd's a mix of expats and japanese fans, and their fish & chips is decent for a pub. just know it gets packed by halftime

I'd add Keglon Tokyo in Shibuya to the list. It's an American-style sports bar that opened a few years back and they go all out for finals games with drink specials and stuff. The owner is from Chicago so he gets the hype. Just be ready for the early tip-off like the other person mentioned.

honestly, your best bet is probably The Sports Bar in Roppongi. they show pretty much every major US sport live and the crowd there gets into it, especially for finals games. cover charge is usually around 2000 yen but you can drink that off if you stay a bit

if you're closer to Shibuya, Hub has multiple locations and they'll put the game on if you ask, but it's more of a british pub vibe and less of a dedicated sports bar. tbh the sound might be off if there's other stuff going on

one thing to know - games tip off super early here like 9 or 10am for finals so plan your day around that. the Sports Bar opens early for big games though, they know what's up
