Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

Question

I'm heading to Chembur next week for a family visit. My aunt, who lives there, swears by this amazing little chai stall tucked away somewhere...she's incredibly vague about the location, only saying it's near the railway station but NOT the main one. She says it's run by an old couple, and they make the most incredible masala chai, a flavor you won't find anywhere else. They apparently use some secret family recipe. So my question is: Anyone know which chai stall she's talking about? I'm determined to find it! I've heard tales of their amazing chai, it's legendary amongst her friends. Seriously hoping it lives up to the hype. The whole family's been talking about it for months now, you know, the family hype... It better not be some tourist trap!

The "not the main one" detail almost certainly means Chembur monorail station rather than the Central line one off VN Purav Marg. There's a shack just past the station towards the 18th Road junction, old Parsi couple I think, and they do a chai with lemongrass and a bit of crushed ginger that people travel for. Cash only, and they shut by around 11am, so go early.

chembur has a few stations so the "not the main one" bit prob means currey road or govandi side tbh. old couple running a chai stall sounds like the one near the chembur monorail station, tiny shack, been there forever. idk the exact name but ask around the station and someone will point u

honestly if its not the monorail side then check near Basant Park side, off the road that runs behind the station towards Diamond Garden. there's an old couple doing chai from a cart near the Ganesh mandir there, and their masala has this smoky cardamom thing going on, no idea what they put in it. only thing is they pack up once the morning rush dies, so before 9 is your safest bet.
