If you're near Asoke, the TCDC loss is rough. Try the National Library on Samsen Road, it's a straight shot on the BTS to Saphan Khwai and then a short taxi or bus ride. It's huge, free, and has dedicated quiet zones with plenty of power outlets, plus a cafe inside if you need a break. For something closer, the coffee shop at the back of the Exchange Tower building on Sukhumvit 21 is surprisingly quiet after morning rush, just buy a drink and you can camp out for hours.

honestly just head to any of the big coworking spaces around Asoke, like the one in the Exchange Tower basement or the space at the back of the EmQuartier. Theyre not free but the vibe is solid and nobody bothers you if you buy a coffee.

The Asoke branch of TCDC is gone but have you checked out the Bangkok City Library on Ratchadamnoen? It's not right in Asoke but you can hop on the BTS to Saphan Khwai or take a quick MRT ride to Sanam Chai, it's free and super quiet with good wifi.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
