"Medium term" rentals for family?

Hey all - I know questions like this are a dime a dozen. But most website recommendations I've seen either cover short term studios, or longer-term full apartments (ex. thailand-property.com).

Where would I go online to find something like a full 3bdrm apartment, for 6-8 weeks? It's the kind of niche that AirBnb occupies, but there are relatively few listings in Bangkok. Thanks!

If you're looking for a 3-bedroom for 6-8 weeks, try reaching out to property management companies directly. Siam Management and Property Hub Bangkok both handle mid-term furnished rentals that never hit Airbnb, and they'll often do a custom rate for the exact weeks you need. I've had better luck emailing them with your dates upfront rather than browsing their sites, they usually have off-market units in buildings like The Esse at Singha Complex or Ashton Asoke that aren't listed publicly. Just expect to put down a deposit and sign a short contract, it's more formal than Airbnb but the price per night can drop to around 2,000 baht for a 3-bedroom.

For 6-8 weeks in a 3-bedroom, you're better off looking at serviced apartment buildings directly rather than Airbnb. Places like The Lakeside in Ekamai or The Room in Sukhumvit 24 have 3-bed options and will negotiate monthly rates if you email them directly, you can often get 50-60% off the nightly rate for stays over a month. Another route is checking Facebook groups like "Bangkok Expats Housing" where landlords post mid-term rentals, I've seen families pick up 3-bed units in Thonglor for around 50-60k baht per month that way.

i'd skip the big sites altogether and just walk into a few condo buildings you like in sukhumvit. the juristic offices (management offices) often know which units are available for short-medium stays even if they're not listed online. i found a 3-bed in a building on soi 31 that way, paid 55k for 6 weeks. the key is going during weekday mornings when the staff is actually there, not weekends when it's just security guards

another thing nobody mentions is checking with the bigger co-working spaces. places like the work lofts on sathorn have bulletin boards where residents post sublets. i've seen 3-bed family units in sathorn for 40-50k for month-long stays, usually from expats who are traveling and need someone to cover their lease for a few weeks. you can just walk in and ask the front desk if they know anyone looking

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
