Phra Khanong water taxis?

Google Maps shows a route along Phra Khanong until Iam Sombat Market. Do boats actually run this route or not? I can't recall seeing any but then I've never particularly looked out for them. yeah they run, just not super frequent. the phra khanong canal boats go from the bts station all the way to wat thong lang or further east depending on the time of day. during rush hour they come every 10-15 mins but off peak it can be 30-45 mins easy

i take them sometimes when the soi traffic is a nightmare. they drop you right near iam sombat market which is way faster than sitting in a taxi on sukhumvit 71. just look for the small pier behind the big c near phra khanong bts, it's easy to miss if you're not looking

honestly i've lived around here for years and never used them until my bike broke down. they're real alright, just kinda hidden. the pier's not very obvious, look for the little stairs going down near the canal wall behind big c. fare's cheap too, like 10-15 baht i think

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
