For number 3, clubs and parties, I'd skip the usual RCA or Thonglor mega-clubs. There are smaller, more social spots like Studio Lam on Sukhumvit 26, which has live jazz and a mixed crowd that's actually open to chatting between sets. Also, check out the monthly "Bangkok Art and Culture Centre" openings, they're free and people are there to talk about the work, not just drink.

honestly the best way i've met people here is through random hobby groups. there's a big running club that meets at lumphini park a few mornings a week, mostly thais and expats mixed. also if you're into board games there's a place called battle in a box near ekkamai that does weekly open sessions. way less forced than trying to chat someone up at khao san

ngl the best thing i did was join a muay thai gym. most of them have group sessions and you end up grabbing food with people after class. i go to krus gym near on nut and its super friendly, half thai half foreigner crowd. way easier to bond when youre getting punched in the face together

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
