The most well known for us outside thailand is House of Heals (run by a well known Drag Race alum who I understand will not likely be there, that's fine).

Any other recommendations and what are the pros and cons of each? Cost, alcohol, level of service, etc.

You've got the right idea looking past House of Heals, which is fun but feels more like a western production dropped into Bangkok. For a different vibe, check out Maggie Chula's over on Soi 71 in the Thonglor area. It's a proper cabaret dinner show with a full set menu, the queens do classic lip-sync numbers with elaborate costume changes, and the whole thing runs about 1,500 baht per person including a couple of drinks. The food is decent, not amazing, but the production value is solid and you can book a table right up front for the best view.

another option is balmain's bar on sukhumvit soi 23, it's a bit more of a divey local spot with drag bingo and themed nights mixed into the shows. drinks are cheap around 150 baht for a beer and the queens are hilarious if you're into audience interaction, but it's not polished at all. no cover and the crowd is mostly expats and thais who know each other, so you'll stick out as tourists but in a friendly way. i'd go there for a casual night before hitting the soi 11 clubs rather than a sit-down dinner show

If you're in Silom, Stranger Bar on Silom Soi 4 is a solid option. It's a small, intimate space with a rotating cast of local queens, not a big production like House of Heals. Drinks are around 200-300 baht, and the shows are free with just a drink minimum, so it's easy to pop in for an hour. The service is friendly and the crowd is mixed, but it gets packed after midnight on weekends so arrive by 11 if you want a seat.

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
