tbh both those suggestions are solid but if you're already near the stadiums the shops on rambuttri road have a decent selection too. it's a bit quieter than the main drag and the lady who runs the one near the soi 7 intersection knows her stuff. she'll let you try on different sizes which matters because fairtex and twins fit a bit different. and yeah avoid the weekend market stuff, the print peels after one wash

fwiw if you're near the MBK area there's a proper muay thai shop on the 4th floor, right near the escalators by the food court. they stock boon brand shorts which are a bit pricier like 600 baht but the stitching holds up way better than the street stuff. also if you go to the fairtex factory outlet on rama 4 road you can sometimes grab factory seconds for like 200 baht with just a minor thread issue

if you're near on nut there's a twins pro shop in the w district market, it's a proper store not a stall and they have a huge rack of shorts to pick through. the quality is the real deal since twins makes a lot of the gear for actual gyms. just be aware they close around 8pm so don't show up late

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
