No contract gyms on mid/lower Sukhumvit?

Any decent gyms that don't require a contract? Month to month or week to week fine. Thank you Any decent gyms that don't require a contract? Month to month or week to week fine. Thank you

honestly if you're on lower sukhumvit the true fitness in asok was month to month last time i checked. it's in the exchange tower right by bts, like 2500 a month. the place is huge compared to those small condo gyms, has a pool and classes included. not the newest equipment but you get a lot for the price.

there's also muscle factory on soi 23, more of a hardcore lifting spot. they do weekly passes for like 500 baht i think. no contract, just walk in. it's nothing fancy, kinda gritty, but if you want proper squat racks and don't care about ac it's fine.

yeah there's a few. flex fitness on sukhumvit 49 has monthly options, think it's around 2000 baht a month. no contract, just pay and go. place is decent, not crowded during the day.

another one is jetts in gateway ekamai, they do month to month no lock-in. about the same price, maybe a bit more. equipment is fine, nothing fancy but gets the job done. both are a short motorbike ride from lower sukhumvit.

we have fitwhey on sukhumvit 24 which does month to month for 2500 i think. it's inside a condo building so not the biggest place but the equipment is new and they keep it clean. also the owner is usually around and pretty chill about letting people try a week first if u ask nicely. the sauna is a nice bonus after a session

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
