Does the dancing in Lumphini Park also happen in the morning? If so, what time?

She read somewhere that it starts at "dawn" but I've never heard of it being in the morning. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks!

yeah it happens in the morning too, just a different vibe. the main group gathers around 6-7am near the clock tower area, mostly tai chi and slower dancing compared to the evening parties. your mom will fit right in, the morning crowd is older and more chill, lots of regulars been doing it for years. just go before 8am when the sun gets hot

your mom's timing is fine, the morning sessions are real. just know the vibe shifts hard after 7am when the sun hits the benches, people start peeling off for coffee at the little shop on sri ayutthaya road. if she's looking for company, the group under the big banyan tree near the tennis courts does a slower paced line dance that's easy to pick up, they're usually still going at 7:30

morning dancing is absolutely a thing, just way more low-key than the evening chaos. if your mom wants the full experience without the crowds, the area near the swimming pool entrance on sarasin road has a smaller group doing synchronized exercises around 6am, they're super welcoming and don't mind new people joining in. she'll want to be there by 6 at the latest though, the heat really kicks in fast and most people are packing up by 7:30

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
