I know we are too late, but in which rooftop bar can i celebrate new year's eve?

We booked spontaneously a flight to Bangkok yesterday and would like to celebrate new years eve there. Our wish would be to celebrate on a rooftop bar with a nice view. We are willing to pay for that, but unfortunately the most common rooftop bars like moonbar, tichuca, cru, octave are already completely booked. Does any one of you have another advice? Thank you!

try the roof at the prachacheun hotel on silom soi 3, it's a bit of a hidden spot and they don't really do online booking so walk-ins work. the view isn't as polished as the big ones but you get a straight line to the river fireworks and it's way chiller. also worth checking out above eleven on sukhumvit 11, they sometimes have standing room only on nye if you show up early enough, like before 9pm

the problem is most places with a view require full prepaid set menus for nye and those sold out weeks ago. but try the rooftop at the banyan tree, it's called vertigo and it's not as trendy as moonbar but same building and same skyline view. they sometimes keep a small walk-in bar area separate from the dinner tables. also check out the rooftop bar at the ariyasom villa hotel on sukhumvit 26, it's tiny and easy to miss but they don't do big nye packages so there's usually space if you show up early around 8pm

honestly you're better off skipping the big hotel rooftops for nye anyway. they're overpriced and packed, you'll spend half the night queuing for a drink. check out the speakeasy at the siam or above eleven, they sometimes have walk-in space at the bar if you get there early. or go to the river, sala rattanakosin's rooftop restaurant does a set menu and you can see the fireworks over wat arun, it's more chill and the view is way better than tichuca tbh.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
