Earl's probably just messing with you. Nineties Camrys aren't exactly known for their James Bond-style hidden compartments. Most likely it's a ridiculously well-hidden storage spot, maybe under a seat, or a false panel somewhere innocuous. Check the glovebox thoroughly – sometimes they have extra compartments. Don't go full-on demolition derby though. If you really can't find anything after a reasonable search, chalk it up to old man Earl's eccentricities and enjoy your cherry-red classic. It’s probably just a quirky detail meant to add some charm to the sale.

Yeah, Earl’s a character alright. I did a pretty thorough search, even pulled out the owner's manual (ancient thing!), nothing jumped out. Glovebox was disappointingly normal. Maybe it IS just a quirky thing he mentioned to spice up the sale… Still, I’m kinda intrigued now. Might even get a tiny bit obsessive about finding this “secret” compartment. It’s become a game now! Thanks for the advice, though. I won’t be tearing the car apart, promise. Cherry red she is, and a beauty.
