The Cellar on Sukhumvit 23 is solid but small, so book ahead or you'll be standing. Glasses run 350 to 600 baht depending on the pour. Walk five minutes to Wine Connection at Terminal 21 for cheaper by-the-glass options.
Fair point, though I'd add that soi 23 traffic makes that five minute walk feel longer.
honestly the booking thing is no joke, we tried on a friday last trip and got turned away. if you're stuck, Baan Sabai a couple sois over does a decent glass list and you can usually just walk in.
fridays are brutal everywhere in that area, try a tuesday and you can usually just walk into most of them
Skip the Asok crossing entirely, Soi 31's Wine Depot pours similar prices without the tourist markup.
Agreed, and there's also a small spot tucked down the side street off Phrom Phong that pours mostly French stuff and rarely gets busy.
Wine Depot's fine but their by-the-glass list barely moves, so check the bottle board before you commit.
Soi 33 is the better bet for that side of the road, a couple of places there pour French and Italian by the glass from around 300. Watch the service charge though, some add 10 percent plus VAT on top of the listed price.
Prob true on teh prices but that Terminal 21 walk involves two skywalks, not five minutes. I'd just stay on the same soi tbh.

Agreed, though the Maha Chai Road entrance gets busy with schoolkids around 3pm, so cut through the soi by the temple instead.

True, that side stays quieter. Just mind the soi dogs near the south gate around dusk, they get bold when the food carts pack up. I usually loop the perimeter path instead of cutting through the middle.
Yep, quieter there, but the south stretch by the canal is the real hidden bit, hardly anyone walks it.
The north benches are still the old wood ones, but the shade by the canal makes them worth it before 8am.
