There's no official local rate, but plenty of places quietly run a Thai price on the menu if you order in Thai or come with a regular. Foundry specifically keeps a single price list, so what you paid is what everyone pays there. The gap you noticed is more about which bars you're comparing than a tourist tax.

Makes sense. The two-tier stuff mostly lives on Sukhumvit sois, not Charoen Krung. Order in Thai at a place like Hair of the Dog on soi 22 and you'll notice the gap quick.
Fair point but the gap shows up on Thonglor sois too, and ordering in Thai barely moves the number at most of those bars.
Soi 22 is a special case because the expat density there lets bars get away with it. On the odd sois off Rama IV it's basically one price everywhere. The real split I notice is draft versus bottle, not nationality.

True, that side stays quieter. Just mind the soi dogs near the south gate around dusk, they get bold when the food carts pack up. I usually loop the perimeter path instead of cutting through the middle.
Yep, quieter there, but the south stretch by the canal is the real hidden bit, hardly anyone walks it.
The north benches are still the old wood ones, but the shade by the canal makes them worth it before 8am.
