What are some interesting places to explore in the Ekkamai neighborhood?

The walk will include visits to a Korean temple, Wat Pha Si, and Ekkamai Park, as well as some lesser-known spots. The route covers approximately 6 kilometers and will take about 1.5 hours at a relaxed pace. The walk is free to join, and participants should meet at the BTS Thong Lor station at 17:00. For more information, you can contact the organizer through their social media account.

That walk sounds great, the Korean temple is a real hidden gem. I'd also recommend just wandering the sois off Ekkamai Road, like Soi 10, for some cool little cafes and vintage shops. If you're hungry after, the boat noodle spot under the BTS tracks is a classic.

ngl the guided walk covers some good spots but if you're in the area early check out the tiny soi 4 market, it's got this old school papaya salad lady who's been there for decades. also W District is a bit further down but has a nice mix of food trucks and live music, way more chill than the Thong Lor scene. the park at sunset is prob teh best part of that route though

The guided walk sounds like a solid intro to the area. If you end up near Soi 38 afterward, the old-school roti mataba stall there is still run by the same family and makes a mean curry puff. Just a heads up, the BTS Thong Lor exit can get chaotic around 5pm, so give yourself an extra few minutes to find the group.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
