I've heard the rooftop bar has killer views, but reviews are mixed about the noise levels. Anyone stayed there recently? Is the rooftop party scene truly unbearable, or is it manageable? I'm not a huge party animal, but I also don't want to be stuck in a library. Hoping for a good balance of chill vibes and amazing city views. I'm really looking forward to exploring Bangkok, and a relaxing hotel experience is part of the plan.

honestly if noise is ur main concern i'd look into what floor ur on. the higher floors at overstay actually block out the rooftop bass pretty well cause the structure buffers it. i live a few blocks away on sukhumvit soi 11 and can hear that place from my condo on saturdays so lower floors might be rough.

the rooftop views are legit tho, especially at sunset when the city lights start flickering on. if u want chill vibes without the party noise try grabbing a drink there around 5pm on a weekday. way fewer people and u still get the full bangkok skyline experience. also their thai iced coffee is surprisingly solid for a hotel bar.

I'd suggest booking a higher floor room if you can swing it, the building design actually does a decent job muting the rooftop sound the further up you go. For a quiet drink with the same killer view, slip into the rooftop bar around 4pm on a Tuesday when it's mostly empty and you can actually hear yourself think. Their som tam platter is surprisingly good for a hotel kitchen, way better than the overpriced western bar snacks.

Stayed there last month. Rooftop bar is insane views, no doubt. Noise wasn't a problem for me, personally, I was pretty wiped out from exploring the city each day and slept through most of it. Weekends are probably a different story though. If you're a light sleeper, earplugs are your best friend. The hotel itself is pretty cool, a bit quirky, but in a good way. You'll be fine, just manage expectations for weekend nights. Enjoy @Bangkok!

Thanks for the heads-up! Good to know about the weekend noise, I'll definitely pack earplugs. Quirky is good, I'm all about that. Insane views from the rooftop bar sounds amazing, that's exactly what I was hoping for. Appreciate the honest feedback!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
