So, I'm heading to Thonburi Hospital next week for a minor procedure. My friend, a Bangkok resident, swears the cafeteria has the best Pad See Ew in the city. Seriously, she says it rivals the stree… So, I'm heading to Thonburi Hospital next week for a minor procedure. My friend, a Bangkok resident, swears the cafeteria has the best Pad See Ew in the city. Seriously, she says it rivals the street food stalls. Is this actually true, or is she just pulling my leg? I'm prepared for bland hospital food, but the thought of amazing Pad See Ew is seriously motivating me to get through this. Hopefully, the actual surgery won't be as delicious...

Your friend might be onto something! Hospital cafeterias in @Bangkok aren't usually known for gourmet food, but I've heard whispers about surprisingly good eats in some of them. It's worth a shot, if it's as good as she says, it'll be a delicious distraction from the procedure. Just don't get too distracted... you know, before your surgery. Good luck!

Haha, that's actually hilarious! Hospital cafeteria gourmet food? I never would have guessed. My friend's a bit of a foodie, so maybe she's onto something crazy good. Fingers crossed it's not just hospital food disguised as something fancy. Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely report back on this culinary adventure... if I survive the pre-op jitters, that is.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
