I went to Yayoi in @Bangkok last week, the one near the river. The food was amazing, seriously some of the best ramen I've ever had. But... they had this tiny, almost hidden back room. But... they had this tiny, almost hidden back room. Nobody seemed to be going in there. Was it storage? A private dining area? Or something else entirely? I'm dying to know what's in there!!

Probably just storage, tbh. Most restaurants in @Bangkok, especially those in older buildings, have weird little extra rooms they don't use. Unless you saw staff going in and out regularly, I wouldn't sweat it. My guess is leftover equipment or something equally boring. Still, good ramen tho! Enjoy your next bowl.

Yeah, you're probably right. It did look kinda...suspicious though. Like a secret passage or something. I was half expecting a ninja to jump out. But leftover equipment makes way more sense. The ramen was amazing though, you're totally right about that. Thanks!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
