Heard amazing things, world-class, apparently. But my friend who lives in @Bangkok swears they have the most insane cafeteria food. Seriously, gourmet level stuff. Is it really that good, or is she just pulling my leg? I'm preparing myself for bland hospital food, so this is a serious question. I need to know if I should schedule extra time for the cafeteria experience!

oh it's not a secret at all, locals have known about it for years. the basement level has a whole food court setup, but the main sky cafeteria on the 19th floor is where it's at. get the khao soi from the northern thai stall, it's like 80 baht and better than most places in chiang mai. just be prepared for the maze of elevators, the building layout is a nightmare lol

The 19th floor sky cafeteria is the real deal, but if you're feeling a bit frail after the procedure, the ground floor coffee shop does a solid tom yum noodle soup that's gentler on the system. Just avoid the main lunch crowd between 12 and 1, that place turns into a zoo.

honestly the whole building's food game is underrated, not just the sky cafeteria. if you're there for a procedure and want something easy on digestion, the japanese stall on the ground floor does a decent okayu (rice porridge) for like 60 baht. beats the heck out of the standard hospital jelly cups

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
