Stayed at Sivalai Place last week, amazing pool, seriously, the best part of the whole trip. But the room service menu was... limited. But the room service menu was... limited. I'm a foodie, and I was expecting more variety given the hotel's reputation. Anyone know of any amazing local spots nearby that offer killer delivery or takeout? I'd love to avoid eating the same thing twice. It felt like I should of explored more outside the hotel! Seriously considering going back just for the pool though...

the food court at the bottom of the emquartier mall is actually slept on. it's like a 5 min grab bike from sivalai and they've got this khao soi place that'll change ur life. way better than dealing with room service and you can bring it back to the pool no problem

tbh the best food near sivalai isnt on any delivery app. walk to the corner of pracha rat bamphen soi 7, there's a muslim lady who sets up a cart around 6pm selling roti sai mai. it's this thai cotton candy wrapped in thin roti, super cheap like 20 baht. not exactly dinner but perfect poolside snack while you wait for proper food. grab some from the thong lor night market instead of room service, the grilled pork skewers there are way better and travel fine.

honestly if you're already near sivalai, skip the delivery apps for a sec and walk over to thong lor soi 10. there's this spot called supanniga eating room that does proper isaan food, their som tam and grilled pork is so good it's worth the 10 min walk. the pool at sivalai isn't going anywhere, and you'll regret not trying their yam pla duk foo more than the room service

grab is fine but some places don't travel well, especially fried stuff. supanniga packs their takeaway smart tho, the papaya salad stays crunchy

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
