I'm heading to Thonburi Hospital next week for a procedure. Anyone know if they have decent Wi-Fi in the waiting areas? My phone's battery life is...questionable, and I'll be there for a while. My phone's battery life is...questionable, and I'll be there for a while. Seriously considering bringing a portable charger, but they're so bulky. This isn't my first rodeo with hospitals, trust me, I've seen some seriously sketchy internet situations. Anyway, advice appreciated!

just go to the second floor waiting area near the ortho clinic, that's where the signal's strongest for some reason. the portable charger thing is worth it though, the outlets in the main lobby are always taken by noon. grab a coffee from the shop on itsaraphap road side while you wait, they let you sit there with your charger plugged in

the portable charger thing is a solid idea but honestly you might not need it if you grab a seat in the new building's ground floor cafe area, there's a row of outlets along the back wall that most people miss. the wifi there is fine for scrolling but dont try to stream anything or it'll buffer. also if ur phone dies the little phone repair shop on the soi next to the hospital charges like 50 baht to quick charge for 15 minutes, just sayin

Thonburi Hospital's Wi-Fi works fine in the main waiting areas near the pharmacy, but it gets spotty in the outpatient wing closer to the parking lot. I'd bring that charger anyway. The 7-Eleven across the street on Itsaraphap Road sells small power banks for around 300 baht if you'd rather not lug a big one from home. The coffee shop on the ground floor has outlets under the counter if you grab a seat there.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
