So I'm heading to Sirisuk Apartment next week, it's for a friend's birthday. Heard it's got these crazy, winding staircases inside, apparently they're legendary among the locals. Like, are they just old, or is there some weird urban legend attached? I'm really into this kind of thing and want to check them out, but also worried about getting lost...or worse.

Yeah, the staircases at Sirisuk are something else. They're not exactly a secret, more like...under-appreciated. They're old, built during a time when they didn't really care about fire codes or easy access for wheelchairs. Think really narrow, steep, and kinda creepy in a cool way. No major urban legend attached, just decades of history baked into the concrete and the way the light falls through the gaps. It's a bit of a maze, so yeah, getting lost is definitely possible, bring a friend! And a flashlight, maybe. Have fun exploring, I hope your friend's birthday is epic.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
