So I'm heading to @Bangkok next week and I've heard Tops is, like, the place to shop. My friend said they have everything, but seriously, everything? I'm picturing a Willy Wonka-esque wonderland of… So I'm heading to @Bangkok next week and I've heard Tops is, like, the place to shop. My friend said they have everything, but seriously, everything? I'm picturing a Willy Wonka-esque wonderland of Thai snacks. Is it really that insane? Or is it just another supermarket? I'm trying to plan my snack-attack strategy. Seriously, help a girl out!

It's definitely more than just another supermarket. Think less Willy Wonka, more...organized chaos with a seriously impressive selection of Thai snacks. They do have a ton of stuff, not just food. Household goods, clothes, pretty much everything you'd find in a Western supermarket, plus a huge amount of local products you won't see anywhere else.

So yeah, it's worth checking out for the sheer scale of it all and the amazing snack selection. Just be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends. My strategy is to go early, make a list (seriously!), and stick to it. Otherwise, you'll spend hours there and leave with way more than you planned!

Wow, organized chaos sounds about right! I'm definitely intrigued by the Thai snacks, I've been wanting to try some more authentic stuff. A list is a good idea; I'd probably get distracted by everything else they have. Thanks for the heads-up about the crowds, early mornings it is then!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
