Heard the food stalls around the campus are amazing, seriously, everyone keeps raving about them. My question is: what's the absolute must-try dish? I want to avoid tourist traps and find something genuinely local and delicious. Any recommendations would be killer, especially if it's something you wouldn't find anywhere else. Seriously considering scheduling extra time just for the food scene.

Honestly, pinpointing one must-try dish is tough. The beauty of those university food stalls is the variety. But if I had to pick something...go for the Pad See Ew. It's ubiquitous, sure, but the versions around Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat are often made with a really unique, subtly sweet dark soy sauce you don't see elsewhere. Look for stalls with a lot of local students, that's usually a good indicator of quality and authenticity. You'll find lots of other amazing things, too, so don't be afraid to wander and explore! Enjoy your conference...and the food!

That's great advice! Thanks. The Pad See Ew sounds amazing, especially with that unique dark soy sauce. I'll definitely keep an eye out for stalls popular with students. I'm hoping to get there early to sample as much as possible before my conference starts, it sounds like I'll need a whole day just for food exploration!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
