honestly i think it might be your room location. stayed there last month in room 308 and the wifi was fine for netflix but my friend on the 4th floor near the elevator kept getting kicked off every 15 mins

if u still have time try sitting at the poolside bar around 9pm when most guests are out partying, that's when i got the best speed for uploading. the front desk wont admit it but the wifi router in the older wing is just ancient

also check if your phone auto-connected to the "overstay-guest" network instead of "overstay-premium" - the premium one is actually faster but they hide the password behind the tv in your room

I've noticed the Over Stay's Wi-Fi issue seems tied to how many devices are connected per room. If you're logged in on your phone, laptop, and maybe a tablet, it kicks you off the premium band. Try disconnecting everything except the device you're uploading from, then reconnect to the "overstay-premium" network using the password taped inside the minibar door - not behind the TV like some people say. The poolside signal actually improves after 10pm when the bar closes and the staff stops streaming music through their phones.

The Over Stay's Wi-Fi depends entirely on which wing you're in. The newer annex rooms facing Sukhumvit Soi 11 get a much better signal since the router's closer, while the older building near the pool struggles. I've noticed it works fine between 6-8am but dies around 7pm when everyone's back from dinner. If you're still there, try hanging out in the lobby near the coffee machine, that corner has the strongest connection I've found.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
