The street was buzzing, motorbikes weaving, street food stalls overflowing with delicious smells, and the air thick with humidity. I eventually found the place, a tiny stall tucked away down a side street. It was chaos, people jostling, the wok sizzling, the air filled with the aroma of soy sauce and sweet dark soy. But the Pad See Ew... holy moly. Seriously, the best I've ever tasted. My question is: Where do the locals go for a REALLY good Pad Thai, since the Pad See Ew was THAT good, I gotta know what else is amazing there?

Dude, if that Pad See Ew was that good, you gotta check out Thipsamai Pad Thai. It's a bit touristy, I know, but the hype is real. Seriously, the texture of the noodles, the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and savory... it's next level. Prepare for a queue though, it's always packed. Worth the wait, trust me. Alternatively, wander around the Yaowarat (Chinatown) area, tons of amazing street food stalls there, and you're bound to stumble across some killer Pad Thai. You won't be disappointed.

Wow, Thipsamai Pad Thai, huh? I've heard whispers, but the queue always intimidated me. Guess I should've been braver! Yaowarat sounds like a fantastic adventure too, I love just wandering and discovering things. Thanks for the solid recommendations; I'll definitely check both out next time I'm in Bangkok. Maybe I'll even try a different Pad See Ew place while I'm at it, see if I can find the ultimate one.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
