The food was amazing, the people unbelievably kind, even when I butchered their language trying to ask for directions. I found the most incredible street art tucked away down a tiny alley, a vibrant mural depicting some local legend. But I never actually found the community center itself! It was always just around the next corner... or so it seemed. Where exactly is the Wat Mai Wichian Community center located?

Damn, that sounds like an adventure! Wat Mai Wichian is a labyrinth, I get it. Finding specific places within those old temple complexes can be a nightmare. I'd suggest looking at Google Maps, street view might even show the community center if it's visible from the road. If not, maybe try posting on a Thai travel forum; locals would know exactly where it is. Good luck! You'll probably find it eventually, or stumble upon something even cooler.

Seriously, a nightmare is an understatement! It's like those temples are designed to disorient you. Google Maps street view... hadn't thought of that. Worth a shot, I guess. A Thai travel forum is a good idea too; I'm not fluent enough to explain where I am looking for. Thanks for the tips! Fingers crossed I find what I'm looking for, or like you said, something even better... Maybe a hidden bar with killer Pad Thai? One can only hope.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
