Keys gone. Checked everywhere. Staff were helpful but no luck. Seriously considering bribing the cleaning crew. Anyone else ever lost something ridiculously important in a ridiculously fancy place? What's the best way to navigate this kind of situation without making a complete fool of myself?

The pool Tom Yum is weirdly good there, I've had it before. Try calling the club directly and ask for the manager on duty, not the front desk. They usually have a proper lost property log that the regular staff don't bother checking. If that fails, there's a reliable locksmith on Sukhumvit 49 that does house calls for around 500 baht and they're usually there within 30 minutes.

I'd try the pool maintenance guys specifically. The 71 Sports Club has that filtration system where the drains around the deck can catch small things, and the staff who clean those filters are different from the regular cleaners. I've seen them pull out rings and keys before, they usually toss them in a bucket near the pump room. Also, if you're still there, the security booth at the parking entrance has a separate logbook the front desk doesn't touch, worth a shot before you call anyone.

dude check the spa lockers, sometimes staff toss random stuff in there thinking it belongs to a guest. the 71 club is big on that policy where they consolidate lost items at the end of shift so maybe ask the spa receptionist directly

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
