So, I'm staying at this hotel in @Bangkok, it's pretty swanky. The pool's amazing, the staff are super nice... but the wifi is... spotty, at best. Spent half the day trying to upload some photos. Yeah, I've heard that about some hotels in that area. Bangkok wifi can be a rollercoaster, honestly. Sometimes it's blazing fast, other times... dial-up speeds. Could be the hotel's internet infrastructure, or maybe just a lot of people using it at once. Try turning your phone's airplane mode on and off again; a total restart sometimes helps. If that doesn't work, see if the hotel has a wired internet connection you can use. Those usually work better!

Good point about the wifi infrastructure. I figured it might be a general Bangkok thing, but I didn't think about the hotel itself being the problem. Airplane mode, yeah, I'll try that. Thanks for the wired connection suggestion too, didn't even think of that! Hopefully, that'll do the trick.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
