Lost Luggage Woes?

Anyway, my flight from @Singapore was... eventful. Let's just say the airline "lost" my backpack. It had my entire wardrobe, my laptop, EVERYTHING. They said it should arrive "soon". The apartment doesn't have a huge amount of storage space though, so what are my options for short-term storage solutions while I wait? I'm worried about finding somewhere secure and relatively affordable.

Ouch, that's a nightmare! Lost luggage is the worst. "Soon" in airline-speak is rarely soon, sadly.

Have you checked with your travel insurance? They might cover temporary replacement costs or at least storage. Failing that, some of the larger 7-Elevens (there's bound to be one near your BTS stop) sometimes have small lockers you can rent by the day. It's not ideal for a backpack, but it might be a place to stash some essentials. Otherwise, maybe ask the Sirisuk Apartment staff, they might know of a local storage place or even be able to hold onto some things for a small fee. Good luck sorting it all out!

Thanks so much! Yeah, "soon" is airline code for "maybe next week, possibly never". I hadn't thought of the 7-Eleven lockers, that's a genius idea, I'll definitely check that out. Travel insurance is a whole other saga... I'm pretty sure it's going to be a fight to get anything reimbursed, but I'll give it a shot. I'll also see what the apartment staff say. Appreciate the practical advice! This whole thing is such a pain.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
