Best Pad See Ew in Town?

But...the service was kinda slow. I was there on a busy Saturday night, so I get it, but I almost missed my movie. My question is: are they always this busy, or was it just a fluke? I really wanna go back, but not if I'm gonna be late for everything again!

If you're set on the Thong Lor location, go right when they open at 11am on a weekday. I've walked in at 11:15 and had the place mostly to myself. The lunch rush doesn't really hit until 12:30, so you've got a solid hour window. Also, the khao soy there is underrated if you want to switch it up next time.

ngl saturday night is peak chaos there, especially after 7pm. if you go around 5pm on a weekday you'll basically walk in and the sen chan is still fresh from the morning batch so it's extra chewy. also their takeaway is surprisingly fast if u order ahead on grab, just eat it in the park nearby

try the branch on sukhumvit soi 26 instead, it's usually calmer even on weekends and the kitchen's just as good. the original thong lor spot has that hype crowd issue but the soi 26 one has more tables and aircon so people don't linger as long. also if you're in a rush, ask for 'pad see ew mai sen' which is the wider noodle version and they cook it faster than the regular one

best som tam in Bangkok? Krua Dok Mai Kao 2026

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
