I swear the bed takes up 75% of the space. The aircon fights a losing battle against the Bangkok humidity, and the wifi...let's just say it's "charmingly inconsistent". Seriously considering sleeping outside on the balcony, mosquitos and all. But the location's great

Oof, that sounds rough. Sirisuk Apartments, huh? I've heard mixed things. Bangkok's notorious for compact living spaces, especially in the touristy areas, so that's unfortunately not unusual. Sleeping on the balcony sounds tempting, but those mosquitos are vicious! Maybe invest in a good mosquito net? And a portable fan? Seriously, the heat and humidity can be killer. If the wifi's truly unusable, see if your phone's data plan would be a more reliable option for a month. At least until you can find something a bit more spacious.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
