If you go on a Tuesday or Thursday evening around 6 PM, they run a "happy hour" for the simulators that drops the credit cost by almost half. The staff at the ticket counter near the VR zone on the fourth floor are usually clued in about it, just ask the guy with the glasses, he's been there for years. Also, follow the Monopoly Park LINE official account, they send out a QR code every month for a free 100 baht credit top-up if you spend over 300 baht in the arcade.

ngl the best kept secret at monopoly park is the combo deals they don't advertise. if you go on a weekday morning before noon, the racing sims are half price and the food court stalls near the back (the ones with the green signs) do a 99 baht set meal that's not listed on the main menu. just ask the lady at the som tam cart, she'll hook u up

They do have a card system, but it's not really a loyalty program in the traditional sense. You buy a prepaid card at the counter near the escalators on the third floor and load it with credits, and the more you put on at once, the bigger the bonus they add. I usually put 500 baht on mine and get about 600 baht worth of play, which helps a bit with the wallet pain. Just don't ask the teenager at the counter about it, half the time they don't know what you're talking about until you point at the sign behind them.

Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but I've always found their som tam a bit tame on the pla ra. If you want the real funky version, try the shophouse spots along Soi Udomsuk 26, near the night market end. They pound it fresh with fermented fish that'll clear your sinuses, and it's like 60 baht. Different style from the On Nut places, more Lao-leaning.

for som tam specifically i'd say the Isaan spots in Chatuchak are underrated, weekdays only though since the weekend crowd ruins the vibe. there's a stall near gate 2 that does tam pa with fermented bamboo shoots, super sour and funky, not something you see much in On Nut. if you're already heading north for Or Tor Kor anyway its worth the detour.

honestly the som tam at Krua Dok Mai Kao is good but what got me hooked is their nam prik pla raa dip with the raw veggies, that funk hits way harder than the papaya does. think most people sleep on it cuz they just order the som tam and gai yang. also pro tip, go before noon on weekdays, after that teh pla ra gets milder cuz they batch it for the lunch rush
