The engine's purring like a kitten now, but I'm stuck trying to source some original parts. Anyone know where I can find a reliable supplier of vintage Toyota parts around @Bangkok, or even online? It's driving me nuts trying to find the right bits and pieces...It's a family heirloom, you know?!

That's awesome you're restoring your grandpa's Corolla! '87 was a great year. Try checking out some of the bigger auto parts stores in the city, they often have a dedicated section for older vehicles, or at least know who does. Failing that, you could try your luck on some of the online marketplaces popular in Thailand; sometimes you find real treasures there. Good luck with the hunt! It'll be worth it.

Yeah, '87 Corolla KE70, the best! Thanks for the tips. I hadn't thought about the local auto parts stores having a dedicated section for older cars, that's a great starting point. And online marketplaces in @Thailand... hadn't considered that either. Might be a long shot, but hey, worth a try! It's more than just restoring a car, it's keeping a piece of family history alive. Appreciate the help!

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
