I can't say I've had that particular problem, but you'll want to keep a roll of toilet paper in your bag anyway. Most public restrooms and even some street stalls don't stock it, and the bum gun is your only option. Grab a few packs at 7-Eleven for about 15 baht each and you're set.

haha that is a very specific warning but honestly not wrong. if you're dealing with that situation you might want to hit up a pharmacy for some soothing wipes instead of relying on the bum gun. Boots and Watsons are everywhere in Bangkok and they sell brands like Tucks or generic witch hazel pads for like 100 baht. way gentler than getting blasted by questionable hose water

ngl the real pro move is just asking for a cup of water instead of using the bum gun. most street food stalls will give u a plastic cup of drinking water if u ask nicely, way less pressure and u can control the flow. my thai friend taught me that trick and it saved my ass literally

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
