Ouch. That's a... specific concern. I'd suggest sticking to the sidewalks as much as possible, especially in areas known for tourist crowds. And maybe pack some Preparation H just in case. Bangkok's a blast, but it's definitely got its own brand of unexpected hazards.

Yeah, the Beat Hotel is gorgeous, but the food scene around it can be a bit… underwhelming for authentic eats. Try venturing a little further east. Head down Soi Nana – it’s a short taxi or Grab ride, and there are tons of tiny, family-run places tucked away there. You'll find way more real deals than anything near the hotel. Don't be afraid to just wander and check out places that look busy with locals. You’ll get way better food that way. And skip the fancy stuff; trust your gut on this one.
