High-end Mattress Recommendations in Thailand

Seeking advice on high-end mattresses (75,000-170,000 THB range), California or King size. Omazz and Dunlopillo seem promising. Need to get this right, it's a significant investment! the royal bedding floor at siam paragon has a tempur section worth checking, their breeze models actually stay cool in this weather unlike the regular ones. there's also a small japanese brand called airweave hiding on the 4th floor that uses resin fibers, feels weird at first but sleeps incredibly cool and costs about 150k for a king. the key thing nobody tells you is to test mattresses in the evening when the ac is weaker, the showrooms blast it cold so everything feels comfortable but your bedroom won't be that temperature

check out the royal bedding collection at central chidlom, they have some memory foam hybrids that are way better value than dunlopillo for the same price range. omazz is mostly marketing hype here tbh, their foam layers tend to sag after a couple years in the humidity. if you go to sukhumvit soi 24 there's a custom mattress place called nap pillow that'll do latex hybrids in any size for around 100k, they use natural talalay latex from the south of thailand. just make sure whatever you get has a removable washable cover, the dust mites here are relentless

honestly skip the department store stuff entirely and go to nicha bedding at the corner of silom and naradhiwas. they've been making custom mattresses for the royal family and high-end hotels here for decades, and their talalay latex models will run you about 80-120k depending on size. they'll come to your place and do a pressure mapping thing where you lie on a sensor pad and they dial in the firmness zones for your exact body. takes about 2 weeks for delivery but it's actually tailored to you, not some generic firmness level off a showroom floor. the california king is fine if you're tall but most thai bedrooms can't fit the 80 inch length without hitting the wall or aircon unit, so measure twice

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
