Would also prefer good food and drinks, of course. Live music, such as rock or jazz would be nice, too. Thanks!

tbh the most visually wild rooftop i've been to is Tichuca Rooftop Bar at T-One Building. it's got this huge jellyfish-like chandelier that changes colors, kinda feels like a neon dream. the drinks are decent but the real draw is the decor, it's super Insta-friendly but not in a tryhard way. if you want live music with a cooler edge, try Above Eleven on Sukhumvit Soi 8, they do some jazz nights and the food is actually good for a rooftop, Peruvian-Japanese fusion. just avoid the weekends if you hate crowds

Haven't seen anyone mention The Speakeasy Rooftop Bar at Hotel Muse yet. It's tucked away on the 24th and 25th floors and has this whole 1920s prohibition-era vibe with dark wood, vintage lamps, and old-world decor that feels more like a secret club than a typical rooftop. The food is solid Thai fusion and they do live jazz on some nights. For something completely different, try Cielo Sky Bar on Soi 8, it's got an indoor greenhouse section with hanging plants and fairy lights that feels like a garden party in the sky, plus the pizza is actually good.

For a seriously cool rooftop vibe in Bangkok, check out Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar. The views are stunning, and the decor is sophisticated but not stuffy. They often have live jazz, and the cocktails are top-notch. Another option with a different feel entirely is Nang Loeng Market, which has a few bars on the roof, much more gritty and local feel. Food might be more limited there, but the atmosphere is unique. If you're looking for something more opulent, you could try Vertigo and Moon Bar at the Banyan Tree, amazing views, but it comes with the price tag. Do a bit of image searching on those places beforehand; you'll get a better sense of which fits your style.

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
