I don't want to make any more mistakes. As I need to inject T fairly often, would it be easier to get my medication/perscription from Bangkok Hospital or a private clinic? From my understanding, my appointment at Bangkok Hospital is a consultation and eventual prescription, but as they couldn't give me a financial summary of the out of pocket cost for T + syringes, I'm skeptical. If anyone could provide a ballpark summary for this number I'd appreciate it. So, here is my question: Can anyone recommend a well-known doctor who specializes in hrt treatment & prescriptions? I want to get in, have a consultation, pay for my prescription, and get out. I work a lot and have to support myself. Thank you in advance. I'm going through a lot of physical, mental, and emotional anguish over this.

honestly, bangkok hospital is gonna be more expensive than a private clinic for ongoing T. they charge hospital-level fees for everything, even the consult follow-ups. a place like pulse clinic or go wellness on silom is more streamlined for hrt, they know trans patients and you can just walk in for refills without the whole hospital rigamarole.

for cost, a vial of testosterone might run you 600-1000 baht at a hospital pharmacy, but syringes are cheap like 20 baht each. clinics often bundle it. the real headache is bangkok hospital making you see a different doc each time, while a clinic you can get the same doctor who remembers your dose.

if you want fast and no fuss, dr. atip at the intermed clinic on sukhumvit soi 55 is solid. he does hrt consults, writes the script same day, and the pharmacy downstairs has everything. no wait for hospital admin. just call ahead to confirm he's in.

You might save yourself a headache by just going straight to the Red Cross or a government hospital like King Chulalongkorn for this. Their endocrinology department handles HRT and they're used to foreign patients. Costs are way lower, like maybe 200 baht for the consult and the

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
