Any recommendations for pet friendly hotels that won't break the bank? TIA

Tons of 'em, actually. Depends on your budget, really. Look for hotels that specifically mention pet policies on their websites, booking sites often filter for that too.

For a small dog like that, check out Fraser Suites Sukhumvit on Soi 11. They're fully pet friendly with no weight restrictions that I've seen, and you're right between Asok and Nana BTS. It's not the cheapest option but for a week it's reasonable, especially if you book direct and mention the dog. The rooms have kitchenettes too which helps when you're condo hunting and don't want to eat out every meal.

try the admiral suites on suk 23. saw a couple small dogs there last month. not luxury but decent and the staff were nice about it

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
