[28M backpacker from India looking for help] Is there a place to rest, nap and store luggage during the day?

I'm visiting Thailand in a few weeks, along with 4 other friends, and I need some help. We're all landing in Bangkok around 4AM, and we have a bus later at night (9PM) to help us get to Koh Tao. For the rest of the day, we're looking to find a place to keep our luggage, rest & nap. Are there such places in Bangkok?

Kindly give suggestions. Should we book a hotel, AirBnB, hostel or are there other places (like Tokyo's internet cafes) where you can rest / nap for a few hours without paying a lot of money?

if you're landing at 4am, the easiest thing is to book a dorm bed at a hostel near khao san for the night before and just show up when you land. most of them have 24hr reception and you'll get a bed, shower, and luggage storage for like 250-350 baht. the place i stay at is called warm window hostel on rambuttri, they're chill with early arrivals and have lockers

as for the bus, check if you're leaving from khao san road itself or mo chit. if it's the lomprayah bus from khao san, you can just hang around the area all day and walk to the pier at 8pm. there's a few massage places on soi rambuttri that do 1 hour foot massages for 200 baht if you need to kill time and relax

A few hostels near Khao San Road offer day-use rooms or luggage storage for a few hundred baht. Check out places like NapPark or Back Home Backpackers, they're used to this sort of thing. You could also try a capsule hotel near the bus terminal if you're heading out from Mo Chit. For 4AM arrival, just grab a taxi to Khao San, store your bags, and crash on a couch or rent a dorm bed until checkout time around noon.

honestly just book a cheap hostel dorm for the night before even if you're not sleeping there. most places near khao san will let you check in at 6am or so and you get full use of the room and shower until checkout around noon. we did this at my mates hostel near rambuttri and it was like 300 baht per person for a bed. way cheaper than day rates and you actually get a proper shower and bed to crash in for a few hours

if you're heading to koh tao from lomprayah's pier near khao san, just walk your bags over to the bus terminal there around 8pm. they store luggage for free if you have tickets. grab some pad thai from the street stalls nearby while you wait, the ones on soi rambuttri are decent and cheap

yeah Krua Dok Mai Kao is solid but if you're up for a detour, try Som Tum Nua near Siam Square. their som tam pu pla ra is insane if you like the fermented fish sauce kick. way more pungent than the On Nut spot, just less grilled chicken options
